The campaign committee of Democratic Party candidate Kathryn Gail Ellis, Ellis for Congress, refunded $40 to Leslie Bearden on September 6, according to the Federal Election Commission (FEC).

According to the FEC data, the following reason was listed for the refunded expenditure: 'Contribution refund to an individual, partnership or limited liability company'.

Ellis for Congress refunded $385 total since April 1.
