***HOMICIDE UPDATE***

The Jefferson County Prosecutor’s Office has issued charges against the suspect in a homicide over the weekend near Fenton.

26-year-old Laminia Holt is being held at the Jefferson County Jail without bond on charges of Murder 1st Degree and Armed Criminal Action. Investigators believe Holt shot and killed her father, 51-year-old Charles Holt, late on the night of May 22nd.

We appreciate the speedy work by prosecutors to issue charges in this case.
